WFF US: Reader's Series Part I
Women in Fund Finance presents the first event in our Reader’s Series. This special informative series of events will feature members of the fund finance community who are avid readers of non-fiction. They will lead discussions concerning subject matters that have both social impact as well as economic impact within the framework of our society.
In this inaugural event, please join us as we discuss Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America by journalist Beth Macy, who is a prolific writer on the opioid crisis. This impactful New York Times bestselling book, which garnered a number of awards and is the subject of a television series with the same name. We will also discuss Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe, a staff writer for the New Yorker and a New York Times best-selling author. The book garnered much acclaim and was named a “Best Book of 2021” by multiple publications. This discussion with our community readers will be led by Walt Jackson of Onex Credit, Mike Henry of U.S. Bank, and Leah Edelboim from Cadwalader’s fund finance practice.
